The Bacteriology Laboratory of the Oral and Dental Diseases Research Center operates with the aim of supporting basic, applied, and translational research in the field of oral microbiology. This laboratory provides a suitable platform for studying microorganisms associated with oral diseases, investigating host-bacteria interactions, and evaluating virulence factors, biofilm formation, antibiotic resistance, and the effects of antimicrobial agents.

Laboratory activities are conducted in accordance with biosafety principles, quality control measures,
and standard laboratory practices; opportunities for collaboration with faculty members, researchers,
and graduate students on research projects are available.
Research Areas:
1-Oral microbiome
2-Oral pathogenic bacteria
3-Periodontal diseases
4-Tooth decay
5-Endodontic infections
6-Microbial biofilms
7-Antibiotic resistance
8-Evaluation of Antibacterial and Anti-biofilm Agents
9-Investigation of Microbial Contamination in Dental Equipment and Environments
10-Collaboration on interdisciplinary projects in microbiology and biomaterials
